Am I allowed to bring musical instruments?

This service is not possible for flights operated by Freebird (FHY).

Hand luggage: The instrument and its case have to fall within the max dimensions of L 55cm, W 20cm and H 40cm and max weight of 10 kg. Keep in mind that you are only allowed to bring 1 piece of hand luggage. If the instrument falls outside these dimensions, it can still be taken in hand luggage provided you buy an extra seat for it. In this case there is no maximum weight and the maximum height of the instrument is 150 cm. Book this extra seat via 'Service & Contact'.
 
Check-in luggage: The instrument and its protective case can also be transported in the baggage compartment (Hold). If the total weight of the musical instrument including normal baggage exceeds the baggage allowance per person, the excess weight will be charged. It is also possible to book extra weight in advance. More info see our conditions of Transport.
