Can I take an urn?

An urn may be carried in hand baggage/check-in baggage under the following conditions:

  • the urn can be transported free of charge by our airline
  • It must be extra securely packed for protection and aesthetic reasons
  • may be carried in hand baggage if the maximum permitted dimensions (55x40x20cm) and maximum weight of 10 kg are not exceeded
  • the urn must be declared at the check-in desk and will be specially labelled
  • the airline cannot be held responsible for any loss and/or damage
  • all formalities concerning the import and export of the urn have to be fulfilled. You must have the death certificate and cremation certificate with you.
