When can a child travel alone?
A child may travel alone from 5 years of age, but then needs compulsory assistance.
- For an 'Unaccompanied minor' children aged 5 to 11 years old, the assistance is compulsory if they are not traveling with someone at least 18 years old
- For a 'Young passenger' youngsters aged 12 to 17, the assistance is possible but not compulsory
What does this assistance cost?
- You pay a surcharge per journey (see conditions of transport)
If you do not request assistance in advance? Then you pay an additional administration fee at the airport.
Compulsory assistance forms are filled in at the airport.
