Can I bring my dog or cat in the baggage compartment?
Dog or cat more than 8 kg travelling in in the baggage compartment are surcharged per way and per dog or cat.
- 3 cats/dogs are allowed in 1 transport cage, provided they are not older than 6 months and from the same litter
- 2 cats/dogs are allowed in 1 transport cage, provided each weighs no more than 14 kg and is used to living together
- The animal must be min. 12 weeks old and transported in a sealed transport cage for air transport (max. 121 x 81 x 88 cm).
- The animal must be able to turn around and stand upright in the cage.
- Pregnant females and dogs with a flat snout will not be allowed in the hold.
- Empty cages can be taken as registered hold baggage.
- Cages on wheels: disable or remove the wheels before transport.
All info must be completed in advance in this document and passed on. Two copies of this document must be shown at the check-in desk before departure. In the event of information not provided in advance or missing documents: additional costs per animal per journey may be charged and you run the risk of refusal due to limited loading capacity. Rules apply to TUI fly and Freebird (Turkey). Rules apply to flights with TUI fly and Freebird (Turkey).
Please note that on long-haul flights, dogs and cats are only allowed in the hold. On Freebird, only small dogs and cats can enter the cabin as there is no dedicated cargo area.
