What are the conditions for transporting pets in the baggage compartment?
General Rules
- Maximum of 3 animals per cage (younger than 6 months and from the same nest)
- Maximum of 2 animals per cage (weighing less than 14 kg and able to live together)
- Animals must be at least 12 weeks old
- Transport cage for air travel (max. 121 x 81 x 86 cm, total weight 45 kg)
- Your pet must be able to turn around and stand upright in the cage
- Pregnant females not allowed
- Dogs with flat snouts (and crossbreeds) not allowed
- Empty cages allowed as hold luggage
- Remove wheels from cages or render them unusable before transport
Mandatory
- Fill in and submit information in advance
- Present this document in duplicate at check-in

- If information is missing: additional costs may apply and risk of refusal
- Rules apply to TUI fly and Freebird (Turkey)
- Health certificate required for Turkey and Egypt
- On long-haul flights, transport only in hold
- With Freebird, only small pets in cabin (no special cargo space)
