Am I required to book a seat type with TUI fly?

If you do not want to book a seat type, you will automatically be assigned a seat when you check in online. Keep in mind that your party may not be able to sit together on the plane. 

At check-in or on board the aircraft, you will no longer be able to indicate a seat preference, such as an aisle or window seat. You take a seat in the seat that has been assigned. You can only arrange an upgrade to a different seating comfort at check-in, subject to availability (from Belgium only possible on long-haul flights to Comfort or Deluxe). If you choose this, you pay the costs at the TUI service desk.

A seat is automatically provided for children under 12 next to at least one accompanying adult. Passengers over 12 years old are not automatically placed next to each other. If they want to sit next to each other, you must book a seat type (seats separated by an aisle are considered seats next to each other).
