- What assistance is available for passengers with reduced mobility?
What assistance is available for passengers with reduced mobility?
Passengers with reduced mobility can receive free assistance at the departure and arrival airport, as well as during the flight.
Book this assistance during booking or afterwards.
Types of assistance:
- WCHR: For passengers who can walk and climb stairs independently, but who need a wheelchair to cover long distances; passengers can also move to/from their seat in the cabin independently.
- WCHS: For passengers who can walk independently but cannot climb stairs, passengers can move to/from their cabin seat independently. The passenger need a wheelchair to travel the distance to/from the aircraft.
- WCHC: passengers who are completely immobile and wheelchair-bound. These persons need to have their own wheelchair and be accompanied to their seat on the plane.
Other assistance :
- Escort for people with auditory and/or visual impairment: passengers are guided to their seat. These persons can always travel with an assistance dog or guide dog.
- Escort for people with developmental and/or cognitive impairment.
- Meet & Assist: escort for passengers who require assistance to find their way at the airport (e.g. people who fly for the first time, who are unable to read, mothers with small children)
