What travel documents are required for children and babies (under 2 years old)?

Children must also have a valid identity card, with a photo (not just a birth certificate). You can obtain such an identity document from the municipal administration. The identity documents for children must be requested from the municipal services at least 15 days before the departure date. You cannot get past border control without it!

PLEASE NOTE: The general rule is that identity cards (including children's identity documents) must be valid at least until the date of return.
