Tips for your stay in Casablanca
Enjoy Morocco’s scents and colours
Casablanca is a city that will stimulate all your senses. Enjoy the lovely scent of fresh spices at the Central Market and try the delicious food in the stalls. There are no souqs here like in Marrakech, but the Habous quarter does boast many authentic shops, offering traditional babouches (pointy slippers), tajines and antiques to dates, nuts and spices … browse around and become familiar with the bargaining game.Sights in Casablanca: our top 3
Whether you have seen the movie Casablanca or not, you will immediately be attracted to this city. It is a real city of culture many travellers appreciate! These are our 3 favourite sights:1. Hassan II Mosque is all about superlatives. It is the second largest mosque in the world. Its minaret is the world’s tallest. And 25,000 worshippers can gather for prayer inside the mosque hall! It also houses a museum, a madrasa, baths and a library.
2. The Old Medina is centrally located by the sea and next to Casablanca’s most important market square. The historical city centre, partly enclosed by a wall, is perfect for strolling through the narrow alleys brimful of shops and cosy cafés. So booking a flight to Casablanca is more than worth it.
3. The Jewish Museum is the only one in the Arab-speaking world. It is a classic example of the historically good relationships between Judaism and Islam in Morocco. The exhibitions teach you everything about the Jewish history of the country.
Flights to Casablanca: relaxing and even partying at the beach
When it comes to trendy bars, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, Casablanca definitely measures up to European seaside resorts. The most beautiful beaches are situated just outside the city and are very popular among both tourists and locals. On hot days, it can get very crowded out there. Do not let that spoil the fun and enjoy your beach holiday to the fullest!Away from the hustle and bustle
If you fancy a walk between palm trees and pergolas, you must go to Parc de la Ligue Arabe. It is the perfect location to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and to enjoy an outdoor café in the sun. Just a short walk away from the park you will find neo-gothic Cathédrale Sacré-Cœur. This eye-catching, white cathedral featuring many Moroccan elements is a reminder of the period in which Morocco belonged to catholic France.[{"code":"","regioncode":"","name":"Casablanca","usp":"","score":"","stars":"","type":"","temp":"","current":"","lat":33.407943637769115,"lng":-7.6018524169921875,"zoom":11,"picture":"","link":"\/\/origin.tuifly.fr\/en\/hotel\/\/\/casablanca-","ttc":"","price":"","country":""}]
